Dug,

I do remember your response. Let me clarify my point with BC, because this gets to an underlying issue with Westell. 2 CC's ago Westell didn't have a problem discussing their continued modem shipments to BC. During this CC they couldn't answer the question. I'll assume Westell isn't shipping modems to BC.

If the news is negative it appears they attempt to defer the question to another company. This gets back to the companies answer on the MOT CG dates, "go ask them". On the BEL deployment numbers, "go ask them". On BT... "go ask them". I'm investing in Westell, I would like to hear their view on their customers and suppliers. How can anyone make an investment decision if you can't get the answer from the company. I don't even want to get into the companies answer to Mr. Seamans retirement. I read the SEC filing, it was in black and white.

So the underlying issue is... do we trust Westell and are they really looking for additional funding? They certainly didn't answer Mr. Slocums questions about additional funding during the CC.

I agree that BEL isn't going to trash the CAP based modems which are installed. I view the BEL contract like the BC contract. The installed Westell modems are staying in BC, but ALA has the DSLAM contract. Do you see BEL deploying CAP in 2000, 2001, 2002? This is when BEL will hit mass deployment.

I didn't know that Paradyne was in the BA ADSL deal... until later.
