I have a friend who works at Computer City who sells the Apple line and has been a programmer and has been around Apple computers for 16 years. He has faith that Apple will make a comeback although it will take time. Also, he is aware of a serious design flaw in the new Intel Pentiem MMX chip. According to him it is a floating point problem inherent in the chip design that cannot be corrected and it affects spreadsheet calculations. He further stated this problem is somewhat similar to the problem Intel had a few years ago. He feels this particular problem could be ten times worse. He said that corporate america will not use this chip because of the spreadsheet calculations. He feels once this problem becomes widely known people will rethink about buying Intel and this just may give Apple a boost.
