LISA & SIG, I read both of your posts. I agree with both of you to some extent. Lisa, you are right because most people don't have a grasp for the leverage or risk associated with options. It is therefore not a game for the average investor. Sig, you are right, because over the long term, (if you're willing to be bullish on DELL) you can make much more with less by buying options over the underlying stock, itself. And, this is what I think you were trying to say in your post. As for me, I am bullish on DELL, and have made a ton in DELL options. My most basic advice to all options players is to buy in-the-money and don't buy too close to expiration unless necessary. Lastly, don't make bets you can't afford to lose (all of it).
