Still Learning, I don't dismiss the ROI of a CIO, BUT the decision to purchase Siebel is not and never will be the decision of the CIO. I have been around this market long enough to know that. Companies are looking for competitive advantage and will do whatever it takes to gain that. TTF is a x-CIO and you can tell that from his/her posts. But the pressure to meet ones expectations(#'s) have nothing to do with the CIO. You either meet your goals or you die, when you realize this you will understand that upper level management will do whatever it takes to achieve those goals. John
