You realize the moment you touch either position in ASND or LU, the merger will take place! Isn't that "Murphy's Law."
I have said before and will say it again, I believe the merger is a done deal. The recent activity of ASND (on a down day) suggests that the deal will be sooner than later.
My source would not give me any more information than I got 3 months ago, however, by not saying anything, I believe he said more than if he had said something, i.e., he didn't tell me to dump the stock or lighten my load.
I believe my source has over 25k of ASND stock and he has not sold one dime of it. It would appear he has a little more to lose than us.
I am looking for the merger prior to November 15, 1998, I said previously that it would happen before October 28,1998, however, "excluding crazy market conditions." The market has continued to act "crazy" and the recent run up suggests that either we will settle in a nice small range, at which time LU will snap up ASND, or we will correct again, in which case LU will continue to wait and try to get ASND for a bargain.
Recent prices of both stocks suggest that a deal is IMMInent (no pun intended).
