High Priest:

<<Thus, expect the 400 MHz K6-2 devices to plummet in price because the entire Intel Sales force is explaining the Socket 7 limitations - and the minimal performance gains of the 400 MHz K6-2 - to ALL OF AMD's customers - and potential customers.>>

I used to think like you. Unfortunately the mass is quite ignorant
of computers. All those jargon like L2 cache, bus speed, PCI, burst
cache, SDRAM, 3D accelerator, etc. are just "cool" words to pass around. The only thing they really understand is MEGAHERTZ. A 400 is BIGGER than a 350 and thus FASTER. These are all words that Intel injected into the consumers mind. They can't tell a difference between a 400MHz PII or 400MHz K6-2 except for the Intel Inside.
Can you believe a K6-2-366MHz run on a 66MHz bus? Yet they sell like
hotcakes over K6-2-350 on 100MHz bus. It is a number game. People
are stupid. If they were as smart as you then they will look at backside cache speed. Hell if they were that smart they would buy a
3DNOW with 4X FPU over PII.
