AMD Report Card:

1) AMD fixed their production problem---------------------(A)
2) AMD got the speed up to 400MHz-------------------------(A)
3) AMD stopped a streak of losses and make money in Q3----(A-)
4) AMD signed more customers, Sony & Packard Bell---------(A)
5) AMD got the 0.18um copper process from Motorola--------(A)
6) AMD got the K7 and will demo a K7 at Comdex------------(A)
7) AMD got the K6-3 to demo at Comdex---------------------(B+)
8) AMD captured 53% of all retail market------------------(A+)
9) AMD will ship 5M+ K6-2 in Q4---------------------------(A+)
10) AMD got a new COO and eventually be a CEO, Atiq-------(A+++)

The first 8 news caused AMD stock to tank. I will not be surprised if
the last one will get a cheer from Wall Street. That may be the
deciding factor to push AMD out of this doldrum.
