Hi Rick, I hadn't been aware that I'd been trashing Cyber either -- until Bill told me and then told me again and then told you and everyone else. So, I went back and looked at my post #1579 that upset Bill. Here's the Ctrader paragraph I wrote: "Cybertrader is a very elegant piece of work, with many nifty features -- too many, I suspect, for the individual trader whose bandwidth and inhouse tech support is limited. And their pricing is higher the others, most notably in the form of many little fees for such things as pulling an order. For myself, I would only feel comfortable using CT in an office setting with wide lines and techies on call. "
A trashing? You tell me. Look at the full post. And if it's not a trashing in your opinion then think about the thinking of one who would label it as such. Then click on Bill's name and see all of his posts on Cybertrader. Is there a whisper of criticism? Did he really tell you earlier today that it never crashes? Wow, that's incredible. (literally) I couldn't find him saying a single word of criticism, other than 'it's not for you, if you're not ready for the best-" kind of thing. Gives me trouble that, assuming as I do that nothing and no one in this world is perfect. His posts on Ctrader read like a company brochure -- and, to use your phrase, that's not appropriate. My observations are based on experience using Cybertrader last year -- and I confirmed my impressions yesterday with another ex-CTer. CT did crash in high volume last year in an office setting. Big deal -- they all do. The most solid system is the DOS Watcher, but you'd miss the charts and the windows; I know I would. If the latest Ctrader is 100% crash proof we should apply to Ripley's. And by the way, I still haven't made up my mind between mbt and watley. (Ctrader is just too expensive for me -- there are several posts on the SI cybertrader chat who make this argument quite well imho. Let me know what you think. (I think I know what Bill thinks. ;-)
