My live-in cat gets that sand-pulling urge when presented
with any canned cat food. She rakes her paw over the smelly
stuff and gets nothing but air. Instincts are powerful.

The only thing out of a can that she'll eat is salmon packed in
spring water. Unfortunately, most of the time she has to settle
for the more economical Whiskas Salmon & Rice dry cat food,
apparently convinced that the "Made With Real Salmon"
notice on the box is for real.
