Some brokers allow margin at 6 and above, some 4 and above. But with the vast majority of brokers both full service and discount it is $5 per share. That is why $5 is such an important price of any stock. You are right to be concerned that margin calls would force the stock lower, except that INPR has announced it's intention to perform a stock buyback. I'm sure this will be used sparingly over the next few weeks to insure that the price does not spend any length of time below 5 in the hopes that when the plan has exhausted it's purchases, the stock price will remain above 5 on it's own. Time will tell.
