DR.TECH--

how about this...since it is obvious WSTL cant make any money off of this, they should invest in those that can if they want to stay in DSL. who better than a competitor to know the strengths and weaknesses in the other companies.

as for the DMT R&D...why cant TXN help us with that stuff. management needs to get tougher with all the damn people. TXN needs WSTL a hell of a lot more than WSTL needs them. go to ADI and MOT and say 'hey, we want to use your chip. can you help us on R&D and pricing? we will set up a long duration purchase agreement with you.'

there are so many different ways this could work. for one, ditching the big loser act would be a big help (if thats part of MZ personality then he needs to be fired). next, press releases. everytime there is an event in the industry, WSTL needs to send out PR saying that:
1) they are aware of the event
2) they are already strategically placed in the market to take advantage of it

talk only to a few analysts. black list the rest. analysts are sheep, they will always fall into place.

TECH---the funniest thing about this is that this is all standard stuff at a public company. I should not have to write it up for a bunch of slack jawed mouth breathers who have somehow been put in charge of the company. the biggest thing they can do is TALK TO SHAREHOLDERS.

good luck to all,
trey
