The story is in the backlog.... From previous earnings announcements, I've tabularized the backlog numbers with the following quarter's revenues in each business segment. I hope to find the accuracy of the backlog numbers in predicting revenues. Backlog resulting Revs NV+RTC 1Q96bl, 2Q96revs 5.0M 4.86M Batt Mang. 1Q96bl, 2Q96revs 3.9M 4.12M NV+RTC 2Q96bl, 3Q96revs 3.2M 5.10M Batt Mang. 2Q96bl, 3Q96revs 4.1M 5.38M NV+RTC 3Q96bl, 4Q96revs 6.1M ???M Batt Mang. 3Q96bl, 4Q96revs 5.5M ???M Management has warned us, however, in the past that the backlog numbers do not represent future sales. Some customers could cancel orders. The backlog at the end of 3Q96 was $11.6M. Note the surprising increase in NVSRAM and RTC orders. Rex
