having grown up around large boats and knowing the methods by which owners
buy/sell (knowing several owners), yes, as long as oil stays above $14. the assets
are currently recorded at depreciated values as it is.


I'll bet that if they've just spent a ton of money on updating this
fleet that the asset values will currently be recorded close to cost;
i.e. the depreciation clocks will have been (partially) reset.......

I also "like" the way that TDW have been spreading gloom and doom, but
have quietly come in ahead of estimates (and with much higher
utilisation rates in the GOM than TMAR !), whilst TMAR have been
the "crisis, wot crisis ?" merchants and have missed ! I'm afraid the
early rounds in this match go to TDW.......
