Paul Engel. Re: "I think Intel is going to make the Katmai a Premier Launch Vehicle in early 1999." It certainly sounds that way. What impresses me about the article on Katmai is that a) Intel has gone out of their way to drum up more software to be ready (we hope) at the time of the launch, and b) they are keeping the intro under deep cover to avoid people putting off Xmas purchases.

These seem to be two lessons learned from the Pentium MMX introduction, and it gives me more confidence in Intel that they are learning from experience.
