I've been looking into RCN after being "told" to check 'em out by, of all people, my wife. She's not a trading goddess, but she does work with the Javanet crew and has been gushing about them for several weeks. After some basic research this certainly looks like a high-risk, high-reward investment opportunity. Does anyone know when RCN is projected to start actually earning $$? I realize this is a capital intensive biz and RCN is sitting on $18/share in cash to finance the buildout and future ISP acquisitions, but at some point they have to show the model works. Aside from that minor detail this looks like a compelling story and I'm contemplating going long with a partial position at current levels. Can anyone here comment on the bear case against RCN? Is there one? And thanks to the thread for the good postings, which I've read in full. I hope some day to contribute here as well. BV
