Rishi,

Are you back from your far east trip yet?

Have you noticed that there is a nice run up of 10% today?

Maybe the company's buy back program already is put into action. (ESS going to buy back $7 million worth of stocks) Or could it be some fund managers started to buy ESS today that caused the price to go up?

I found out SIII, Trident and Oakt all show signs of bouncing back. Not for any particular reasons. After all, most design-in activity should be done by now. (Trident's rise was attributed to two notebook OEM design-in wins.)

I think it is extremely important this quarter to make the shipments and collect the payments. Any companies that can show good EPS for the quarter ends on 12/31/1998 will have a 100% stock price increase easily.

I am going to hold my ESS stocks until January next year where the business condition will be clarified.

Steve
