" I think you are right on both counts. My concern for next year, however, is Intel's Katmai Ramp. Recall the very fast Pentium MMX conversion in 1997? Intel was stuck with a huge pipeline full of the non-MMX's and stumbled during the conversion in Q1 and Q297. I sure hope Katmai wafer starts are already beginning. I wonder if the Katmai will made on the "optically shrunk" 0.18 micron process with 5 layers of metal (a shrink of the first Katmai) ? Paul
