They still have 90% of the desktop regardless ...

a money machine. Breaking the company up might increase the value of MSFT stock. Bill's pride might be wounded. It may not be as much fun for him if he can't tell people what they want.

I'd like to see legal contracts and a Netscape icon next to the Explorer icon so that consumers can decide which browser they want. Is that the end of the world? Is Bill scared to death of competition on a level playing field? Come on Bill. Chicken? BAAAWWK, bawk, bawk, bawk.

What I'd like to know ... why the name change for NT? Sun announces Solaris 7, a 64 bit operating system and Redmond scrambles for a press release of its own? Sounds desperate.

I'd get the word "Windows" out of the name. Marketing faux pas. Windows to many stands for "unreliable", "brittle", "mediocre" ...

But any way you slice it ... it will be "Cash Cow 2000" for a few more years. How about "GATES'-way 2000"?

It's an interesting soap opera but I couldn't care much less about the outcome as long as I don't have to use Windows and Explorer. Linux ROCKS!

I've said it many times before ... JAVA, Jini, Linux, a web-centric world, an educated consumer ... pose a much bigger threat to Windows and Bill "Chicken Man" Gates than the DOJ.

Best of luck.
