Mike:

I am short Time Warner (from 86), for the very reasons you talk about. Unfortunately, I think the market loves their properties more than it hates their debt and lack of a bottom line. How do companies like TWX get people to look at EBITDA, and ignore the fact that all the cash flow goes to service debt payments and preferred stock?

Also, what are your thoughts on WFC? Is it just the merger with Norwest that keeps this puppy flying so high, relative to all the other bank stocks? I know the theory is that they have little exposure to Asia/hedge funds, but doesn't that also mean they have less growth prospects ahead of them?

How would you play either TWX or WFC?

Much appreciated,
JC
