Iomega's Vapor! is NOT MAC-Compatible. = Engineering Blunder of the decade.

If you own a Mac, you are out of luck. No Mac Vapor!. Only PC. There is no way to use the Vapor! drive with a Mac because the base unit only has a Parallel port.

And seeing as how a large percentage of audio/visual users use Macs, one has to wonder where Iomega's head is. But here is my guess:

Iomega will already be losing money on each and every Vapor! drive package sold. They won't come out with a SCSI interface because of the expense involved. They probably already have a plan to bail out of the program altogether within this coming year, and are releasing Vapor! with a parallel interface only as to just save face. They don't want to take an even bigger bath than they have to on this now-ancient technology.

There you have it, short and sweet. And Vapor will sell reasonably well its first month or two to Iomega Investors and gotta-have-it tech-heads, then...nothing. Vapor! is DOA.
