I've bought several books from Amazon. Most recent a 1979 economics book that is a classic (on resource econ.). I'd borrowed it from our library but eventually they recalled it. It's pretty good for people at the other end of the World if you are prepared to wait for shipping or spend a lot on shipping. IMO Amazon has the chance to be around much longer than those other Internuts like Yahoo. What Bezos is talking about I suppose is short-term vs. long-term. David
