Standards are there to be broken by new technologies, if one becomes complacent. Give me a break, IOS is not going to rule the networking. It is in the process of a major shift in technology. Just be cautious. Routers as they exist will be extinct in 3 years, replaced by new unannounced technologies, that will blow your mind. Routers are the biggest bottleneck in the Internet. Unless CSCO adopts, instead of protecting their old technologies, it may be extinct as well in 5 years. BR
