Kash-No-Data-Racist-Super-Buffoon - Re: " but the FACTS are that Intel is in trouble, BIG trouble."

Intel Q398 PROFITS - $1.6 BILLION.

AMD Profits - $1 MILLION

Big Trouble, all right.

For AMD.

K6-2 Prices are PLUMMETING

Sharpy K6-3 is LATE.

K7 - good design for 1997 but mediocre to poor for 1999. Slow L2 cache and huge die size vis-a-vis Pentium II make it much more expensive than the Pentium II but will have only Pentium II performance.

Katmai New Instructions render all 3DNOW K6 and K7's incompatible - and poorer performance. Tough marketing job in 1999 after Katmai is introduced.

Top OEM accounts already penetrated - IBM, HP & Compaq - very little room for major new account wins !

Fab 30 Expenses are about to start hitting the bottom line - but no FAB 30 output until end of 1999 - and product may be uncompetitive.

AMD is headed for troubled times, Kash-No-Data.
