At 1 dollar in royalties per modem 25 million modems would be 25 million dollars. Then we'd need to have additional income to cover the operating burden (costs)...so we could add...say 10 million more one dollar fees, which would mean a total of 35 million modem sales per year. WOW..another stab in the dark. Did either of us hit anything? <g> Okay...let's say 1.5% of each chip set sale, that will cover all modems and hardware using G. Lite.

We probably could get a more meaningful result using Dell PC shipment figures. We'd need to base the stab in the dark on percentage of OEM modems shipped in new PCs. Then we could figure ISP modems at 1 per each 10 PC modems.

All off the shelf modems would be accounted for by asking some Christmas time temp in the electronics section at Kmart how sales are going.

Whoops...think I winged myself...turn on a light. <g>
