People have started to report to SEC when they spot participants here whom they believe are in violation of rules.
One very clear rule being: It is a serious violation of law to publish false information in order to move the price of an equity and at the same time trading in that equity.

People here actually reporting to SEC on such matters is a new and IMO welcome development of this whole "thing". And I am rather sure that it will improve quality of posted messages here. No doubt it will also bring down the number of posts at all - And bring down the number of burned investors too.
I also see this development taking SI to an accepted level of actual publishing information, thus bringing this part of the internet into responsible frames.
