The Learning Company Announces the TLC School Alliance, a New Volume Purchase Program for Districts and Schools
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The TLC School division of The Learning Company, Inc. (NYSE: TLC - news) today announced at the NSBA Conference in Nashville and the California CUE Conference in Santa Clara an exciting new program to enable districts and schools to purchase its award-winning titles at substantial savings.
All the TLC School premium-quality classroom favorites will be available through the TLC School Alliance, from the brands educators trust the most: Broderbund, Compton's, Creative Wonders, MECC, Mindscape and The Learning Company.

The TLC School Alliance includes over 80 premium-quality products in 3 pricing groups: $30, $25 and $20 per CD. A district or school may join the program with an initial order of 200 workstations, and all orders must include a minimum of 5 workstations per title. Educators can order products in quantities to meet their needs, mix and match titles across pricing groups, and mix and match Macintosh and Windows formats. The software can be sent to any school or schools in the district, and orders can be placed at the school or district level.
The TLC School Alliance offers many additional benefits and savings, including 10% off Network Versions and Building Site Licenses and one free Curriculum Integration Guide or Teacher's Manual (if available) with the first 5 workstations ordered on one purchase order. Additional print materials may be purchased at $15 per copy, and a teacher take-home program is included for preparation and review. All the schools in a district are enrolled for one year after the initial order.
