Tigerpaw - I don't think you appreciate the complexity of fielding storage area network components. These are a significantly higher level of integration with a wide variety of system components, and require a major consulting effort to be of value to an enterprise customer. Dell has engaged with Unisys and DG Clariion to put together an offering. They are the only significant player to attempt this - everyone else in the game is providing the whole capability single source. This is a different game than selling SCSI RAID boxes. Dell may well be able to pull off a partnering model here, but it will be a big leap of faith for an enterprise customer.
