Chris, I will name the usual suspects. Cash isn't a bad thing during inflation. If you don't like gold, consider other assets, such as non precious metals, wood cos., oil, etc. Option strategies are key to my plan, both 90/10 and the income techniques. Asset CEFs such as Australia, Chile, The Phillipines, Indonesia, South Africa, and the Malaysian Webs also look like nice specs. Of course, I said that long ago, too. <G> With real estate, the less developed the better as an inflation hedge. So, eschew the time share condos and REITS and look at raw land in an area you know, if you are prone to that sort of thing.
