Re Alta ATM Switch

The Alta Switch was actually a Lightstream ATM switch that Tellabs were "badging" i.e. they had a licence to sell it .
Subsequently Cisco bought Lightstream 3 years ago and I think the licencing deal never really took off. As you know Cisco then bought Stratacom .
