Sounds like a challenge. Ok:
1) School chartering is a system where community members can petition the local district to use the funds that would otherwise go into building another clone school and use it for an innovative school that community members support. It involves some waving of regs. Examples are: back to basics, accelerated, High tech functional curriculum, and many more. It is public open enrollment and based on community choice.
2) Another system is the voucher system.
3) Privatization of public schools is another solution. That is where the community takes a stronger hand in the leadership and management decisions of a public school. So, it stays public, but is directed like a private school.

There are zillions of other proposed solutions. The teacher lobbies supporting BC don't want us to know about them let alone consider them.

Nobody is "against" smaller class sizes. It is the attempt to throw it out as "the solution" so that discussion of solutions is killed that I object to.

Its like saying "we want peace." Who doesn't. One solution is to nuke all our our enemies so there can be no war waged against us. If it were the only possible course that we could consider, BOMBS AWAY.
