Brian, re: fiscal year for mutual funds is all over the map.
For Vanguard funds it can be between the end of August and
the end of January.

I just called Vanguard and was told the fiscal year for their
SP500 index fund ends Dec.31. But I also downloaded the brochure
for the Horizon fund. It's fiscal year ends Oct.31.

You can determine the fiscal YE by looking at the annual report date.

I'd like to see some stats on this for ALL funds.
