(NewsTraders) -- General Motors Acceptance Corp., a finance subsidiary of General Motors Corp. (GM), is withdrawing its $300 million registration of notes on behalf of selling holders, according to a Form RW filed with the SEC this afternoon.

The withdrawal is based on a change in GMAC's plans and "arises for a number of reasons, including changed marketing conditions," the filing states.

As reported, GMAC, which would not have received any proceeds from the sale of the securities, had filed a Form S-2 with the SEC on October 15 to register the notes.
