I posted a while back that the ACA kimberlites lacked
visible garnet. It turns out that ACA kimberlites while
diamond bearing may not be kimberlite at all. They
would be classified as a kimberlitoid, i.e. a close
cousin but not the real thing. The Monopros/De Beer's
property is also a kimberlitoid, I have no information
if there pipe is diamond bearing or not. While Fort a'la
Corne Saskatchewan does not have a lot of diamond they at
least look and behave like real kimberlite, although not
in the classic pipe sense. I hear some rumblings coming
out of Vancouver, and the big K as well. I might be wrong
but I don't think classic kimberlites have been found in
Alberta yet.
