Impossible to give any meaningful evaluation of the coins without seeing them, but if the 1854 dollar has a mint mark (D or S) it could be quite valuable.

The 1924 quarter eagle (2 1/2 dollar) doesn't exist! None were minted that year - are you sure it's dated 1924?

Assuming you are in Miami (Icanect) you could bring both coins down to Gables stamp and Coin (located on Miracle Mile) - they are very reputable and will give you an honest opinion.... Speak with the owner (John) if you can.

Whatever you do, leave them in the "white" protective holders - that will help retain their value by protecting them...

Or if you wish, PM me and I will try to help further...
