Klaus,

If DELL were traded above 70 and did not report anything at least 0.29 (two cents above estimate), then we are bound for a 20-25% retreat within a week. If AG did not cut rate again on Nov. 12th, the market should drop 10% in response. Anyway, I think that S&P is getting ahead of itself and DOW is fully priced for the best news available. Isn't it scary to anyone that the S&P is traded at PE 28 while we are seeing negative earning growth? Also, if Nasdaq failed to close above 1769 this time, what will be the next low be? It's troublesome.

I am selling naked puts on DELL & CSCO currently. However, I do believe that both these issues are overvalued by 12-18% at current level. If market sentiment turns south (it will), then we are looking at a 20% drop on each of these issues. A 25 basis point rate cut should not cause a rally in DELL from 40 9/16 to mid 60s.

good luck,
larry!
