I'm willing as well to see what transpires...maybe it WAS just an extremely poorly handled affair.

But one thing for jhild....I must say that I have been a lurker on SI for several years, and watched another board where jhild was beaten/battered/bruised for remarks, at the time seeming harsh and against the will of the board, but which nevertheless turned out correct. There were times I muttered expletives against jhild under my breath. How could someone make such accusations against what seemed a sure bet??? Well, what seemed a sure bet was nothing more than what jhild was alluding to...a bad bet. A scam from the start it now appears.

Nobody's perfect, but jhild, at least in my book, has a better batting average than many. It's hard to garnish respect on SI, and I use it sparingly, but a "small smackeral", as my daughter might say, goes to jhild for past performance.
