FWIW Kind of Post..

The secondary OEM market is starting to promote ATAPI Zip
drives at lower prices, Iomega brand at $67.00 no media
and NEC brand at $71.00 with one disk. I asked if the NEC
drives were selling as I was surprised that they had them
and was told that everyone want's Iomega brand. This guy
probably classifies as a third tier OEM supplier and white
box builder saying that they sell over 500 drives per month
which really surprised me as he's not a large supplier.
I could be wrong but I think these guys work on around a 10 %
margin.

What this is pointing out is that the largest computer
manufacturers ( The White Box Builders ) are building
Zip inside in larger numbers.

On another note, this community is a small one I frequent the Fool's
boards both the Internet and AOL and the Yahoo board ( for as much
as I can stomach, actually lately it hasn't been too bad ) and what I
find is that those that wish to disrupt a thread by posting garbage, post
after post have infected all the boards so it really doesn't matter where
you wish to exchange information
BUT The Fool Internet sight is promising an exclusion button which
will bypass those that you don't want to read thus making it easier to
ferret out good information. I will start posting there once they initiate
that change.
