Consider it a sound strategy on the part of DELL,for one thing the holiday buying season is about to start and DELL needs to widen the scope their consumer customer base.Also I don't think this phenomenon is going to be unique to DELL as most every one should follow suit during this time of the year,if they haven't already.Lastly the component prices are still falling and there is nothing wrong with passing some of the savings to the customers,this has always been the case with DELL as far as I know,unlike some of the other guys we know.
