Hello Phil,

Theo Karantsalis here.

Callaway is an interesting company, and I wish I had purchased the stock many years ago when I lived in Carlsbad (San Diego). Where will ELY's revenues be coming from in the next year? I noticed at The Sports Authority here in Miami that the clubs have been put on sale. Nothing hurts the bottom line more than discounting.

I recently covered a rather large short position with ELY, as it appears to be trying to establish a base in the $10.00+ range.

Someone mentioned the name brand association, which is a powerful marketing concept. We all naturally want to be associated with the most powerful brand, whether it's Starbucks Coffee, Coca Cola, or Gillette. The name Callaway is associated with affluence, and quite possible power. After all, the darned hat cost about $30.00!

I wouldn't call it a buy until it becomes evident that sales will increase.

Regards,

Theo
