Fototag to Participate in SITA CUBES Initiative

Executives of Exigent subsidiary Fototag, Inc. showed the latest version of the FotoTag® system at two major commercial aviation industry conferences during the month of October, 1998.

Fototag staged a well-received demonstration of the FotoTag passenger/baggage reconciliation system at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, International Air Transport Association (IATA) conference "Passenger Services 98", before a large audience of aviation industry professionals from around the world. This international conference gives the participants a forum to discuss and agree on standards for E-Ticketing, positive passenger boarding, and baggage handling. The FotoTag system addresses all of these functions.

Airlines and airports around the world have committed to a significant increase in passenger and baggage management automation. In a recent IATA study, the passenger traffic volume in every major market was predicted to increase steadily over the next five years. Fototag managers believe that the potential annual market for company products could exceed $15 M by 2005.

At a related industry conference of the Aeronautical Telecommunications Society in Orlando, Florida, Fototag, Inc. was invited to participate on the steering committee for the SITA "CUBES" initiative.

SITA CUBES stands for "Societé Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques - Common-Use Baggage Enterprise System".
