Samsung Discuss Sale Of Puchon Plant Samsung Electronics announced Friday that it is negotiating the sale of its Puchon plant for US$480 million with several foreign companies including Fairchild of the US. The plant which manufactures micro computers, will be operate on a joint ownership deal to begin with, followed by Samsung totally divesting itself in a secondary phase of the sale. The company is also planning to make its DRAM factory in Onyang an independent company. At its main plant in Kihung it will either make between one to five lines independent companies or convert production to LSI systems.
