It really doesn't make any difference to EPS if conversion has or hasn't taken place. Fully diluted EPS are reported based upon common stock equivalents.

Furthermore, why do you ass u me that when the conversion occurs all of the common stock will be dumped on the open market?

Is the preferred restricted? Perhaps it has been sold without having been converted. Why waste so much time dancing around this silly financing arrangement. It has taken place and because of it the company has remained solvent. I ass u me. Toss the certificate into your secret hiding place. At todays price it probably isn't worth a kings ransom. Someday, if the company starts selling switches by the zillions we'll all be richer. In the time between now and then you'll probably sleep better.
