Time Warner Selects Concurrent Computer Corporation's MediaHawk Video Server for Pegasus Program
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1998--Concurrent Computer Corporation announced today that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Time Warner Cable in which Concurrent's MediaHawk(tm) Video Server system is selected as the integrated end-to-end solution for Time Warner's Pegasus video-on-demand (VOD) program. According to the MOU, Time Warner Cable will test Concurrent's MediaHawk and its cable backoffice software suite. Specific test locations will be disclosed by Time Warner Cable closer to deployment. Initial systems will integrate with Scientific-Atlanta's broadband digital head-end system, which features the Explorer(R) 2000 digital set-top box.
