Jerome, He didn't say it would be this quarter, right ? Good point, but still his speech seemed to have a lot of optimsism and I think that since he knew that this #1 thing would only happen in the long-term future, he should have added a disclaimer. I mean, it did seem like he was doing some cheerleading there which may have been unwaranted.
IMHO, SEEK will eventually become No.1, not today, not tomorrow, but in a couple of years. With Disney's power (and content!) they will continue to grow fast. Wait for all the marketing blitz ! We haven't seen anything yet !! You will find www.go.com on all Disney merchandise, film, tv station etc...
Could very well be true. It really depends on how successful they are at utilizing their relationship with Disney. I think they will need a lot of momentum, starting with improving their website page view rate.
I heard an interesting rumor: Motro did present earnings in such a negative light so everyone will vote FOR the Disney merger, because now it looks like SEEK surely can't do it alone...
This is a bit unfortunate. If the rumor is really true (which I sort of doubt) that is a sad sign that the CEO has to resort to such tactics. And if the rumor is really false, then that means that earnings were really just a disapointment.
IMHO, SEEK will be going to the low 20's again, perhaps even mid-teens. Good opportunity to load shares up. And when the GO site is launched (the full site!) and the marketing blitz is rolling on, then the stock price will rock and roll again too ! :)
That may be a very good strategy, especially if the markets continue to rally.
Best of luck,
Rommy
