(Nasdaq: APII - news) today announced that its products will be featured on an upcoming QVC, the world's premier electronic retailer, program, broadcast live from Florida's Space Coast at the Space Walk of Fame at Veterans' Memorial Park on October 29th at 1:00 PM (EST). Overlooking Launch Pad 39, QVC will go live with a 2-hour program dedicated entirely to space-related products. The telecast is expected to reach a record 88.8 million households worldwide (67 million in the U.S. alone), and the air date is set to coincide with John Glenn's return to space (currently scheduled for October 29th).

APII items to be featured on the program include a Space Voyagers(TM) Gift Pack (comprised of three super-realistic astronaut play figures depicting an Apollo astronaut, a Mercury astronaut, and a Space Shuttle mission specialist). Also on the exciting program, including commentary from other famous astronauts, will be APII's JUMP! Space Book Set (set of four educational titles including: Our Solar System, The Universe, Space Travel, and Looking at Space).

Former Apollo and Gemini astronaut, Richard ''Dick'' Gordon, Jr., who currently serves on APII's Board of Directors, will be appearing on the program to highlight products, discuss his personal space travel experiences and give viewers a personal insight into how space travel today compares to space exploration 36 years ago, when Glenn piloted the Mercury-Atlas 6 ''Friendship 7'' spacecraft on the first manned orbital mission of the United States on February 20, 1962.

''The Space Voyagers are very enthusiastic about the upcoming launch,'' APII's President, Ronald Kaplan, stated. ''Of course, we are all thrilled that 67 million households nationwide will get the opportunity to view and purchase APII products. Godspeed, John Glenn and Space Voyagers.''
