Dave, in virtually ever case of a tech buyout the acquiring company pays a substantial premium over market -- 20% is minimal. This results in at least a modest drop in the price of the acquirer unless the street immediately perceives synergies. Given the fact that Cienna is viewed by the street as somewhat tarnished (whether this view is justified is not the issue), I would guess that TLAB is not the suitor.
