>Check out FTRK. They are in the satellite industry, and at least have been selling product.<
What kind of doctor are you Harvey? I checked out FTRK. When exactly do you think the company might achieve profitability? I see an outline of a business plan and a desire to become profitable but no indication as to when that might happen. I see a possible expansion of sales into a crowded marketplace but no indication of the company having a competitive advantage. When exactly is all the R&D supposed to pay off? Who are some of the big guns that FTRK is supposedly working with?
>EVDS hasn't even a product yet.<
As you know EVDS has at least announced some very large construction and remediation contracts. The first CAPSCANs(prototypes) are scheduled to be in the hands of management in less than two weeks. Could that be delayed again? Of course it could be but if it is not then my bet is that EVDS will not only have a product in hand but will be booking sales in excess of projections. What do I base my expectations on? Conversations with Jim Crehan, Chairman of the Board, and the press release we got earlier this week.
What products is FTRK currently selling? How soon will R&D pay off for FTRK and give them a product that will have a tremendous competitive advantage in their markets?
The company is bringing to market antenna, acquisition systems and mounting hardware for the mobile community - including boats, yachts, RVs and buses.

Right now the only similarity that I see between these stocks is that FTRK and EVDS have similar chart patterns:

Neither one of these charts looks very good right now. However since I feel very good about EVDS's prospects I'll stick with my company over yours. I would encourage any investor who is concerned about their investment here to pick up the phone and call EDSi:
For Investor Relations, contact James P. Crehan, Chairman of the Board or William A. Wolters, Executive VP at 1-877-337-4227.
One final question for you Dr Harvey, you do a pretty good job of promoting the stocks you like but what I can't understand is why you spend so much time on this thread talking about EVDS when you so obviously don't like the company or the stock. What is your motivation? Take this post for instance on the FTRK thread which shows without a doubt that you can be as big a cheerleader as anyone:

How about this post from earlier in the week in which you said the following about EVDS:
>This company has only one thing going for it right now, and that is their remediation division, which so far, has failed to announce the completion of any of the big orders they were supposed to have announced weeks ago.
When I see something of substance, then I will be the first one to say there is opportunity; but so far, all this company has done is talk.<

What is your definition of something of substance? Is this announcement all smoke and mirrors to you?
Environmental Digital Services, Inc. Reports Significant Order, Exposition Activity
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Digital Services, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: EVDS - news; EDSi), reported today that its wholly owned subsidiary, EDSi Construction and Remediation Technologies, Inc., has been awarded a contract from Florida Power & Light for the supplying, removal, and transport of all petroleum-contaminated materials from each and every FP&L facility in the state of Florida. Because it is not possible to predict the extent of this work necessary over the life of the contracts, no dollar amount is stated. But, based upon prior experience, the contract should generate a minimum of $850,000 to $1 million a year over the next 12 to 36 months. EDSi shall be the exclusive supplier of the pollutant absorbent containment materials as well as being exclusively responsible for ''the removal of all petroleum-contaminated products from each facility statewide and also will include transport of said products from all facilities in the state of Florida,'' according to the contract.
EDSi also reports that it has exhibited in seven regional and national trade shows in the month of October alone, including the National Association of Convenience Stores National Convention in Atlanta, American Trucking Association, International Airport Council, and the International City Management Association expositions. Since first shipments are not expected until late fourth quarter 1998, orders for the Capscan systems are not yet being taken, but interest at these shows in the Company's products and services has been at an encouragingly high level. The Company will commence taking orders in November 1998.
