If you don't know what makes NXTL different from MOT, Nokia and Eriksson, then you shouldn't be investing. Hint: NXTL isn't in the same industry as the others.

DIRECT CONNECT is exactly what it's name says: Direct connect. You push a button, wait for a double beep, talk, release the button and wait for the other party to answer. It's a two way radio feature built into a cell phone. You can talk to one person or groups of up to 100. No dialing, no phone ringing, just "Direct Connect". The NXTL phones have speakers so the user hears someone calling them. And, yes, you can turn the speaker off and use it the old fashioned way too. The next time you see a plumber, electrician, pool guy or other home deliveryman, ask him if he has NXTL. chances are he does and he can show you how it works. It's new, it's different and it's addictive. I know because my wife and I both have i600's.
