IBM Network not in "National" top 5 ISPs - Time to re-THINK ?

Making the decision to limit access to 100 hours a month may have caused IBM to be dropped from J D Powers & Assoc Top ISPs.

Wonder if LVG knows MSFT's MSN is # 1 , considering his intent to focus IBM's efforts to return IBM to PC dominance :

" FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 28, 1998

AGOURA HILLS, Calif.—Microsoft's strong image in the related software industry has natural carryover effects with Internet-savvy consumers who ranked Microsoft Network highest in overall customer satisfaction among the largest national Internet Service Providers (ISPs), according to J.D. Power and Associates 1998 Internet Customer Satisfaction Study.

SM AT&T WorldNet was a close second, due in part to its solid reputation as a long-distance service provider in the telephony industry.

Despite America Online's (AOL's) dominant Internet/online service market position in the United States, it trails all other national ISPs included in the study.

Online Access was the most important factor in determining overall customer satisfaction. "

PCs are directly related to the internet as were IBM's keypunches to its mainframes and industry dominance .
