To All, Interesting News and moves: 1. Genzyme Transgenics (gztc) will get $6 million from BASF over the next 3 years for some of the milk from its Frankenstein goats. If BASF's products are approved, GZTC also has the contract to be the commercial supplier. Good news as transgenics becomes more accepted. 2. Compaq cut prices 19 pct. on its notebooks for corporate customers. You know, the ones that are in such a shortage that they can't keep people supplied with them. -g- Do they think nobody notices what they are really doing while spreading those tall tales about shortages? Same trick they tried last year with the consumer pcs. "We are totally sold out" one day and "$100 rebate if you buy this same dogs" the next week. -g- They must eat licorice as a corporate requirement so nobody can notice their tongues turning black when they make their statements. 3. I did sell my last third of CPU puts, but it wasn't quite a triple after commish. Still, a nice trade on this bowwow. 4. I have sold my last third of Sangstat. Yes, I still love this co., but the price has gone waaaay beyond my semilog lines and for a silly reason, licensing somebody else's drug. This has been a major league winner for me in biotech and I hate to part co. with it, but it simply is not worth $34 IMHO. good luck, MB
